Fire Risk Assessment

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 became law in October 2006 and introduced significant change to workplace fire safety responsibilities. As well as simplifying the legislative regime by bringing all fire safety legislation together into one Order, it introduced the need for employers, building owners and occupiers as 'responsible persons' to carry out, implement and maintain a fire safety risk assessment.

What's Involved

A priority when first carrying out your fire checks is to confirm that you have an up to date fire risk assessments in place to determine fire risks and hazards within the business. This can be a very daunting task as you need to make sure that all possible hazards are covered. This is where S K Fire Protection falls into its own as specialist in the fire safety industry. No matter what business sector you are in, or the size, our experienced risk assessors will be able to accommodate  your needs.

Fire Emergency Plan

Often missed when implementing fire precautions are Fire Emergency Plans. These plans must be completed to a good standard to show the emergency routes to follow in the event of a fire.

We are able to provide this service which is more often than not carried out on the same visit as the fire risk assessments. Drawing up the emergency routes on plans based on the building normally take a day in addition to any other work already being carried out.

Crabbies Grand National 2017

Queens Medical Centre Hospital Nottingham

Aintree, Liverpool

Four the Fourth year running now it's been a pleasure being a part of the most famous horse race in the workd, the Grand National. Taking place yearly at the amazing Aintree Racecourse it's always a busy and exciting time for us.

After seeing first hand at how the Neonatal unit of Nottingham's Queens Medical Centre & City Hospital deal with the care of new born babies, we wanted to try and make Christmas a slightly brighter one for the parents attending over the  period. To do this we donated Xmas stockings which including a card, gifts, toys and vouchers to help try bring a smile at such a difficult time.
